Wooden beer tankard with plated lining, carved with Regimental Crests of the Gloucestershire Regiment. Discovered in Assam in 1959 by Lieutenant A. Peal and believed to have been in the Sergeants' Mess of 1st Battalion, The Gloucestershire Regiment Sergeants Mess. Possibly looted from Regimental property or carried out of Burma at the time of evacuation of the country in 1941.
