Cornet with the inscription 'Presented to Colonel Chester Master and officers of 4th (Militia) Bn. Gloster Regt. by Captain Lord APSLEY June 1890'. Lord Apsley became the 7th Earl Bathurst and commanded the 4th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment 1898-1908. The cornet came into the possession of Mr. Dando when he was a bandsman in the 5th Battalion prior to Second World War.
