British Army gas mask or respirator c.1940. Black rubber mask covered in khaki cloth, no. 4 mk. III, made 26.10.1940, with glass eye-pieces and adjustable head straps. The hose is black rubber covered with cloth, fixed with wire to the mask and filter. The filter is oval tin, no. 4A, made in Mansfield c.1939.
