Georgian Infantry officer's sabre. Carried in the Napoleonic Wars by an unknown officer of the 28th Foot Regiment. The blade is 79 cm long , unfullered, and has a clip back. The point is etched on each side with a lion and crown over '28'. The stirrup hilt is copper gilt with circular ribbed lancets and has a wire-bound fishskin grip. The whole is contained within a steel scabbard.
