Army account book of 1854 belonging to 1554 Private William Lodge of the 61st South Gloucestershire Regiment, who enlisted in 1841. Lodge, who was from Cheltenham, fought in the Second Sikh War and the Indian Mutiny, saw action several times, including the battle of Chillianwallah and the Siege of Delhi.
