The pocket watch is in full working order with engravings; on back plate -'Bristol Coat of Arms and VC 18th September 1918'. On the inner cover 'Presented by the Lord Mayor Sheriff and Citizens of Bristol to Lieut.-Col. Daniel Burges D.S.O. of the Gloucestershire Regiment who gained the V.C., 18th Sep. 1918'.
